I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who attended the first Canned with Care event. Food security is an important issue for many families in our community. Thanks to wonderful community partners, I created this event to help address this need.
I hope you were able to learn a new skill that you can use to preserve food and share with your family or neighbors.
A special thank you to the Utah State University Extension Professors who led the canning demonstrations, Rancho Markets for donating the produce we used, My Hometown SLC, and Cities Strong Foundation for helping make this event a success.
