Lead can enter drinking water as it passes through service lines – the pipes connecting homes, schools, or other buildings to the water main.
To better protect your water while also meeting the most recent updates to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Lead and Copper rule, the Department of Public Utilities is seeking input from residents to identify the material used in private service lines.
