The Capitol Hill neighborhood is home to the Utah State Capitol Building. The neighborhood is in close proximity to downtown and mountain foothills. Atop the residential area above the State Capitol Building you will find the Ensign Peak trailhead. The peak was used by the Mormon pioneers to survey the Salt Lake Valley. The entire metro area can be seen, as can the Great Salt Lake miles to the west after completing a short, steep hike.
Mixing tree lined streets and historic homes with locally owned shops and restaurants adds to Capitol Hill’s charm.
