Salt Lake City is reimagining the future of Smith’s Ballpark and the surrounding 13.5-acre site at 1300 South and West Temple. Through the Ballpark NEXT Design Competition and the Community Visioning Process, residents, stakeholders, and planning experts have helped shape a vision for the site’s redevelopment.

The Community Reinvestment Agency (C.R.A.) is leading the next steps, using input from these engagement efforts to guide future plans. A final design is expected to be presented in early 2025, which will help inform an Urban Development Framework to guide redevelopment. Plans for the site prioritize community spaces, economic opportunity, and creative ways to preserve elements of the stadium while bringing new activity to the neighborhood.
