Community Clean Energy Program

Salt Lake City is a long-standing member of Utah Renewable Communities: a group of 16 local communities across Utah that are working with Rocky Mountain Power to launch the Community Clean Energy Program. The Program will give Salt Lakers the power to choose affordable, net-100% renewable electricity, supporting healthier families, communities, and the environment.

Early next year, Rocky Mountain Power customers in Salt Lake City will be automatically enrolled in the Program with the option to opt out. Participating households will pay an extra $4 on their monthly Rocky Mountain Power bill. Households enrolled in Rocky Mountain Power’s Home Electric Lifeline Program (HELP) will participate for free. The best way to get on HELP is to apply for the Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) program and automatically receive the benefits of both offerings.
