The Historic Landmark Commission plays a major role on historic preservation, ensuring all proposals don’t negatively impact the historic character of Salt Lake City.
Duties //
Review historic surveys and proposals for new Historic Districts in the City, and advise Planning Commission and City Council on city code changes related to preservation.
Meetings //
Held on the first Thursday of each month, generally from 5 to 9 PM (depending on number of cases being reviewed). In-person meetings are held at the City & County Building and dinner is provided.
More Information
Commission members are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council to serve a 4 year term. Compensation up to $500 per fiscal year is offered.
