Stay Sun Safe

As the temperatures rise, remember to take extra precautions to stay safe and healthy in the sun. Here’s how you can beat the heat and enjoy the summer months safely:

  • Wear sunscreen: Protect your skin from harmful UV rays by applying sunscreen. Remember to reapply every two hours or after swimming or sweating.
  • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Dehydration can sneak up on you, especially in hot weather.
  • Seek shade: Limit your time in direct sunlight, especially during the hottest parts of the day. Find shade under trees, umbrellas, or canopies to help stay cool.
  • Wear protective clothing: Opt for lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that covers your skin, and don’t forget a hat or sunglasses to shield your face and eyes from the sun.
  • Take breaks: If you’re spending active time outdoors, remember to take regular breaks in a cool, shaded area to rest and recharge.
