
Give your hard-to-recycle items a chance to be recycled properly! Please bring items listed below to our Collection of Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM) event and we’ll dispose of them.
This event is free, open to all residents (no commercial customers please), and operated by the amazing volunteers at the Utah Recycling Alliance.
Accepted Materials
Electronic waste, including:
• Phones, tablets, printers, ink cartridges, batteries, computers (laptops, towers, monitors)
• Mobile devices, cords, DVDs and CDs (no cases) VHS tapes
• And pretty much anything with a cord (except no older box TVs)
Other materials such as:
• Lightbulbs (except no long fluorescent bulbs)
• Mattresses (limit 2 per household)
• Styrofoam (Expanded Polystyrene)
• Oral care (toothbrushes, empty toothpaste tubes, empty
floss containers)
• Plastic bags (stretchy films)
• PVC (Plastic Vinyl Chloride) materials (e.g. Plastic #3 such as plumbing pipes, water hoses, window frames, shower curtains or vinyl flooring)
• Plastic clamshells (must be clean, clear only, no colors)
• Skis, snowboards, boots, poles and bindings (no helmets or clothing)
• Bicycles (no helmets or clothing)
• Socks (clean or used)
• Tires & tubes (bikes, cars, trucks and no commercial vehicles) (limit 4 per household)
• On-site paper shredding
