Household Electronics Dropoff

Give your hard-to-recycle items – including broken light strands – a chance to be recycled properly! Please drop off items listed below in our Household Electronics Recycling box, located at NeighborWorks, and we’ll dispose of them sustainably!

Dropoff is free, open to all residents (no commercial customers please). This dropoff box will be monitored by the amazing volunteers at the Utah Recycling Alliance, with the full support of the Waste & Recycling division.

  • Broken light strands
  • Laptop computers
  • Tablets
  • Mobile phones
  • Charging cables and cords
  • Batteries (all kinds, except for cars)
  • Electronic toothbrushes
  • Battery packs
  • Small watches and fitness trackers
  • Earbuds and headphones
  • Electronic toys (hand-held)

Not accepted (do not drop off)

  • Televisions
  • Printers
  • Ink cartridges
  • Lightbulbs
