Municipal Elections are held on odd-numbered years. Seats are a four-year term unless listed otherwise.

Salt Lake City Council has adopted Resolution 44 of 2024 confirming interest to participate in the Municipal Alternative Voting Methods Pilot Project, more commonly referred to as Ranked Choice Voting.
