Overview

Relocatable trailer and office permits are issued for a limited duration and must be renewed annually. A 60-day extension may be granted if a written request is submitted to the Building Official before the original permit period ends.

Permit Duration and Fees

• Permit validity: 365 days
• Possible extension: 60 days with written request
• Required base fee: $110.00
• Required cash bond: $1,000.00 per trailer or office

The worksheet also requires applicants to complete and upload the Cash Bond agreement.

Application Requirements

1. Apply for a Temporary Use Permit through the Citizen Access Portal.
2. Provide a site plan to ProjectDox for plan review.
3. Provide building detail information to ProjectDox for plan review.
4. Provide attachment and anchoring information.
5. Complete and upload the Cash Bond agreement.

The permit is applied for online through the City’s permit portal.

Site Plan Requirements

The site plan must show the following:

• Location of hard-surfaced parking
• Striped parking areas and ADA parking stall locations
• Location of landscaped areas
• Accessible routes and ramps to the temporary office

Building Detail Requirements

Building details submitted for review must include:

• Temporary office floor plan
• Location of an ADA-accessible bathroom
• Exterior wall and opening protection based on property location
• Stair details, including landing, rise and run, handrails, and guardrails

Structural Requirements

Attachment and anchoring information is required for Seismic Design Category D2 or E, with a minimum wind design of 115 mph, 3-second gust.
