Board of Appeals & Examiners Application
The Board of Appeals & Examiners allows applicants to appeal a decision made by the Salt Lake City Building Code Official.
Overview
The Board meets only upon request. Meetings are held virtually and are recorded for public access in accordance with the Open and Public Meetings Act.
Appeals must be submitted using the official application form and emailed to Building Services for review.
When to Use This Form
- To appeal a decision made by the Building Code Official
- To request reversal, modification, or reconsideration of a building code interpretation or enforcement action
Application Requirements
- Subject property address
- Permit number (if applicable)
- Applicant name(s) and email address(es)
- Statement of legal interest in the property
- Statement describing the decision being appealed
- Statement of relief requested and justification

- Attach additional documentation if needed
