Salt Lake City Council Hears Resident Input, Adopts Final Property Tax Rate and FY27 Budget

The Salt Lake City Council finalized the adoption of the City’s Fiscal Year 2026-27 (FY27) budget and approved the final property tax rate following a public Truth in Taxation hearing. The meeting gave community members a formal opportunity to speak before the Council adopted the final budget of $2.1 billion. 

Council Statement on Statewide Fireworks Restrictions

Due to wildfires affecting communities across Utah and heightened risk from hot, dry conditions, the Salt Lake City Council welcomes Governor Spencer Cox’s decision to prohibit personal fireworks statewide through July 5.
