Poplar Grove is now home to a special dinosaur! “Kosmo,” a 20-foot steel sculpture inspired by the rare Utah dinosaur Kosmoceratops, now stands in the roundabout at 700 South and 1000 West.
Artist Garth Franklin created Kosmo, drawing inspiration from one of Utah’s most unique dinosaurs. Kosmo celebrates Utah’s natural history and adds a distinctive piece of public art to the neighborhood.
The sculpture serves as a welcoming landmark in Poplar Grove and reflects the creativity, culture, and community that make Salt Lake City’s neighborhoods unique.
