Hello District Six!
This month, I want to take a moment to address an important aspect of our city’s governance: the equitable allocation of resources across the city. While it’s natural to want to prioritize the needs of our own neighborhood, we must also consider the diverse challenges across our city that may require more immediate assistance.
As such, the allocation of city resources—be it funding for infrastructure, public safety, or community services—requires careful consideration and balance.
While I am dedicated to advocating for the needs of District Six, I also recognize the importance of supporting neighborhoods that may be facing greater challenges. My role as your Council Member is to strike a balance between addressing our district’s specific needs and ensuring that all Salt Lakers can benefit from City resources.
For example, while we may prioritize funding for essential repairs in a neighborhood facing urgent infrastructure concerns, such as road condition, and focus on the less deteriorated roads later. Our goal is to create a sustainable environment where all neighborhoods can develop and prosper, not just those with the loudest voices.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
