New Americans

The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is dedicated to improving municipal services and policies, welcoming and engaging Salt Lake City’s diverse immigrant and refugee communities by collaborating with local partners to share existing resources, services and build connections.

We welcome immigrants, refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers to Salt Lake City.

“I believe in the vitality and strength New Americans bring to our community. In our city, we celebrate diversity and embrace the richness of cultures and languages. Let’s stand united, as we weave the tapestry of our city’s future with the threads of compassion, respect, and opportunity for every person who calls this place home.”
