Exciting Upgrades Coming to Steenblik Park

Cat sculptures at Steeblik Park

Big improvements are on the way for Steenblik Park, located at 1050 W 800 N! To make room for several exciting upgrades, the park will be closed for up to three months during construction. The work being done will create a more welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant space for everyone to enjoy.

What’s Being Improved?

The planned work at Steenblik Park includes:

  • A retrofit of the existing playground with updated features
  • A brand-new toddler play area
  • New landscaping along the park edges
  • Additional tree plantings to provide shade and greenery
  • A new picnic area on the east side of the park
  • Additional seating throughout the park
  • An upgraded plaza to create a refreshed gathering space

These upgrades are designed to ensure the park continues to be a favorite community destination for years to come. Iconic features of Steenblik Park, like the cat statues, will remain. Make sure to visit them when the space re-opens!

What to Expect

Construction is anticipated to be completed by Summer 2026. We appreciate your patience during this temporary closure and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the newly improved Steenblik Park!
