Ensign Peak Nature Park

Many visitors frequent Ensign Peak Nature Park for the short hike to the pillar at the top. Ensign Peak is one of two historic places marking the Latter Day Saints settlers’ arrival in the Salt Lake Valley. The Ensign Peak Trail connects to the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and is a popular entryway into the Foothills Natural Area. If you visit Ensign Peak Nature Park, please stay on designated trails and keep dogs leashed. The area provides critical habitat and range for several animals and birds.
