Public Lands Strategic Capital, Acquisition, and Asset Management Plan (SCAAMP)
— Quick Links —
Project Description
Salt Lake City Public Lands is working with consultant BerryDunn to develop a internal Strategic Capital, Acquisition, and Asset Management Plan (SCAAMP). This initiative aims to enhance public land services in a growing city, align with strategic goals and funding frameworks, and create a dynamic, adaptable plan to guide property acquisition, assessment management, development, and capital projects over the next 5–10 years.
The Reimagine Nature Public Lands Master Plan was completed two years ago and gave us broad goals to achieve as a department. Now, we’re trying to create a road map for accomplishing these goals and nail down what specific projects to prioritize as a department, and when.
A statistically valid survey will be released in Mid-February to Salt Lake City residents to assess how residents are currently using public lands, and what needs remain for the city’s system. The final SCAAMP plan will be completed before the end of 2025, and the outcomes will be available to the public.
