How long does it take to receive a business license?

Most business license applications will be opened for the review process within 30 days of entry. Once opened, most applications will take two to three weeks of review before the decision is made.

Business licenses that require additional review by the licensing division may take longer than three weeks. In these more complex licensing scenarios, applicants will be in contact with the licensing division to receive an estimated decision time.

The licensing division recommends that applicants apply for their licenses no more than 30 days in advance of their planned opening.
