Building Code Information

Building Codes are a set of rules and minimum standards written by the International Code Council and adopted by the State of Utah to safely design and build buildings. These rules help make sure that buildings are strong, safe to use, and protect people from dangers like fire, collapse, or poor air quality. Building codes also include guidelines for things like plumbing, electrical systems, and making buildings accessible for people with disabilities. Building Codes are the “how to build” for construction such as Footing/foundation, framing, etc.
