600/700 North Reconstruction & Bridge Closure 

600/700, North will be closed in both directions between Riverside Drive and 1600 West starting January 5. The Jordan River Trail will also be closed between 500 and 800 North. This closure is expected to run through June 2026 while crews work to repair the bridge.  

Detours: 

  • Westbound: 1200 West to 1000 North 
  • Eastbound: Redwood Road to 1000 North 
  • Riverside Drive at 700 North will be closed. Access from 1000 North. 
  • Access to Backman Elementary School and Riverside Park is available on the east side of the closure.  
  • All businesses west of the river are open and accessible from Redwood Road 

This project aims to create a safer and more accessible corridor and make the aging bridge stronger during earthquakes and floods. 

Please allow yourself extra time to get to where you need to go while this closure is in effect.
