Council Member Alejandro Puy recently attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the SPARK! Mixed Use Development project. The project will transform an unused former Overniter Motel located at 1490 W North Temple Blvd into a mixed-use, mixed-income, and transit-oriented development that includes 200 residential units, 170 of which are designated affordable housing units. The project aligns with the City’s goal of increasing affordable housing. It features a childcare center, varied housing opportunities, and amenities like commercial spaces, a transit-oriented plaza, and community gathering spaces. The project has received over $14.5 million in investment from RDA and $1 million from the City’s Housing Stability.
