Council Members Alejandro Puy and Darin Mano attended the Colony B Open House on March 13, 2023. The project, located at 228 W 1300 S, is a partnership between Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation and Defy Co. Labs. The development includes 140 affordable units, 15 of which are ADA accessible and 11 reserved for young people aging out of the foster system. The RDA approved a $1.34 million loan for the project in Q2 2021, and construction began in Q3 2022. Amenities include indoor bicycle storage, a gym, and multiple community lounges, and public transportation is easily accessible via the 1300 South TRAX stop and the 300 West commercial corridor.
