Volunteering Opportunities In the Area

Volunteering is a great way to get involved and help the community while meeting new people and learning new skills. Here are just some of the volunteer opportunities available:

  • Crossroads Urban Center: The Crossroads Urban Center is a nonprofit organization that helps address issues affecting quality of life. You can volunteer at their food pantries or organize group service projects such as a food drive.
  • Red Butte Garden: Red Butte Garden is a beautiful botanical garden located on over 100 acres of land. Volunteers may help with garden guides, summer and youth programs, and other events. Volunteers get free access to the garden and benefits depending on their volunteer hours.
  • Primary Children’s Hospital: The Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital is one of the top children’s hospitals in the United States. Volunteers can help with the gift shop, information desk, pet therapy, and other services.
  • Bennion Center: The Bennion Center is the community engagement center for the University of Utah. Multiple volunteer experiences are open from various organizations, such as the Utah Amplified Mentoring Program, the Urban Food Connections of Utah, and the Refugee Education and Training Center.

I hope to see you out volunteering your time at one of the amazing organizations in our community. These are just some examples of the many ways you can help make a positive impact in our community, feel free to share with me any other opportunities you’re aware of.
