Caputo’s

Carries local cheeses, eggs, honey, butter, chocolate, legumes, grains, meats, and more.

Harmons

They have a local to Utah section on their website, and labels on their items in store. They source local for many items throughout the store including meat, dairy, produce, packaged goods, and baked items.

Hello Bulk (temporarily closed) 

Hello Bulk emphasizes supporting local makers and distributors providing a space for them to sell their every day food and household goods without excess packaging. Also, they sell local kombucha, yogurt, and treats.

Liberty Heights Fresh 

They carry locally grown fruits and vegetables and have other local products when available.

Natural Grocers 

Offers a variety of local products with a focus on supporting local farms and producers. Selection includes local honey, produce, and baked goods.

Rancho Market 

Offers a variety of local items such as tortillas, produce, cheeses, and bakery items.

They carry local meat and dairy products.

Sprouts 

Sprouts consider products locally if they’re made or produced in the state of Utah or within 500 miles. Sprouts prioritize sourcing produce from local and regional farmers when possible. Fruits and Vegetables that meet their local criteria are broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, pumpkins, watermelon, corn, honey, etc.

Wasatch Food Co-Op 

They sell local produce, meat, cheese, and other packaged bulk food from Utah farmers, ranchers, and food producers.

Associated Food Stores such as Macey’s Market (Sugarhouse, Parley’s Way, & SLC), Fresh Market (SLC), Dick’s Fresh Market (SLC), Dan’s Market (Foothill) 

They were founded on the idea of local grocers banding together to help individual businesses and they continue this philosophy by sourcing local products when possible. You can easily identify locally sourced items with the “Local Proud” logo displayed on them.  

Smith’s 

Smith’s does carry local food and has partnerships with local farmers and producers. They offer locally grown fruits and vegetables such as berries, salad greens, tomatoes, potatoes, apples, carrots, etc. Some Smith’s stores also carry other items such as dairy products, baked goods, and meats. Items should be labeled “local” or have Utah based producer information.
