In the fall of 2022, the Salt Lake City Council and voters approved significant funding for trails, parks, open spaces, and other City-owned areas. First, the Council approved a $67.5 million Sales Tax Bond to fund upgrades and repairs in some of our public historic spaces and critical infrastructure. Second, voters approved an $85 million General Obligation (GO) bond to enhance our trails, parks, and other open spaces, called the Parks, Trails & Open Space Bond.
