Additional Meeting Highlights
The Council joined Mayor Mendenhall in recognizing June 2026 as Pride Month in Salt Lake City alongside Utah Pride Center.
“Moments like this matter. They matter to the young person wondering if they belong, they matter to the parent trying to learn how to support their children, and they matter to the early leaders in our community who never imagined they would one day see Pride flags flying from government buildings in Utah,” said Chad Call, Executive Director of the Utah Pride Center. “These gestures send a strong and clear message to our community that in Salt Lake City, our LGBTQ+ community is not an afterthought. We are part of the story of this city”

The Council also:
- Received a briefing on a budget amendment for Fiscal Year 2025-26. (Watch)
