500 South & 400 East
The Council is reviewing a request to rezone four parcels on the southeast corner of 400 East and 500 South. The properties are at:
- 357 E 500 S,
- 375 E 500 S,
- 464-466 S 400 E, and
- 460-462 S 400 E.
A map of the project location is included below.
The property owner is requesting the Council change the zoning district of the properties from Residential/Mixed Use (RMU-45) to Transit Station Area – Urban Center – Core (TSA-UC-C). Taller buildings are allowed in the TSA-UC-C zoning district than in the current RMU-45 zoning district.
While a development plan has yet to be submitted, a residential development is expected to be constructed with retail/commercial space on the ground floor if the rezone request is approved.
