TNL Bike Parks

Trails and Natural Lands’ Bike Parks

Trails and Natural Lands (TNL) manages three bike parks in the City and one mountain bike trail area at Popperton Park. These areas are maintained by a mix of TNL staff and volunteer stewards who love to get their hands dirty, build new features, and have fun on two wheels.

Popperton Bike Trails

Popperton Natural Area is adjacent to Popperton Park in the Federal Heights neighborhood. It is not technically considered a bike park, but it is home to beginner mountain bike trails. Popperton is a popular destination due to its ample parking and access to other Foothills trails. Spring Gulch, located within Popperton Natural Area, is home to sensitive wildlife. Dogs are not allowed off-leash in Popperton Natural Area.

I Street Bike Park

I Street Bike Park is a volunteer-led, community-maintained bike park in Salt Lake City’s Foothills. Intermediate to expert level riders will enjoy finding new lines, challenging features, and well-built jumps, rollers, drops, and more within this densely-built bike park.

I Street is co-managed by Salt Lake City Public Utilities, Salt Lake City’s Public Lands Department, and a stakeholder group of volunteer stewards.

9 Line Bike Park

9-Line Bike Park includes beginner, intermediate, and expert-level jump lines as well as a pump track for beginners and those looking to polish their skills.

Our 9 Line team members are expert trail builders and avid cyclists and are dedicated to making 9 Line excellent for every user.

Tanner BMX Bike Park – Expert Only

Tanner BMX Bike Park is located within Parley’s Historic Nature Park. Like I-Street Bike Park, it is a community-led space. Generous park stewards volunteer their time to keep the jumps in great shape. This bike park is for expert-level riders only.
