Partial Street Vacation at 2191 S 2000 E

Proposed Project Overview

Salt Lake City is reviewing a petition submitted by the property owners of 2191 S 2000 E to “vacate” a portion of the right-of-way adjacent to their property along Wilmington Avenue.

When a portion of a right-of-way is vacated, it is no longer public property. The area in question is roughly triangular in shape and is located between the property line and the sidewalk. It is approximately 775 square feet in size. The sidewalk would not be impacted by this request.

The hatched area is the area requested to be vacated.

The process requires review by the Planning Commission and approval by City Council. A public hearing will be held with the Planning Commission on this item at a future date. An additional notice for the public hearing will be provided.
