Proposed Project Overview
ASSIST Inc., representing the property owner, Friends of Switchpoint, initiated a petition to amend the zoning map at 2080 W North Temple Street to remove the property from the Airport Flight Path Protection Overlay “Influence Zone B”. The overlay prohibits the allowance of long-term residential uses. The applicant intends to build an 80-unit apartment building that will provide long-term deeply affordable housing for elderly individuals transitioning out of homelessness. The property is within the MU-6 Zoning District, is approximately 30,374 sq ft., and is occupied by a coffee shop with associated parking.
