Note: The permitted land uses for each zone are listed in the Land Use Tables in Chapter 21A.33 of the Zoning Ordinance. These tables were modified on October 8, 2025. For the most current information, please refer to the PDF linked here.

The Citizens Access Portal is a direct connection to Salt Lake City’s permitting database. Here you can research property information, view the progress of a petition in real-time, and submit your online applications.

Note: Please note that the City Zoning Code was recently amended by Ordinance 47 of 2025, known as the “Mixed Use Zoning Consolidation.” This ordinance adopted significant changes to several sections of the code and those changes are not yet reflected the online version of Title 21A Zoning. Please cross-check Ordinance 47 of 2025, when verifying any applicable code requirements.
