City ordinance 18.48 provides for the temporary securing of buildings. The purpose of boarding is to provide minimum requirements for the protection of life, limb, health, property, safety and welfare of the general public and the owners and occupants of buildings within the city and to provide for correction of violations.

Boarding Permits

Boarding must be completed within ten days of the issuance of a permit.

Fees

Yearly permit fees for boarded buildings:

• $902.00 for each structure for the first year
• $1,546.00 annual renewal fee
