Salt Lake City Seeks Input on Potential Community Projects

The Council launches a new Fiscal Year by seeking resident and stakeholder feedback on 60 potential community improvement projects.

SALT LAKE CITY, July 7, 2025 – The Salt Lake City Council invites all residents to participate in the annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) process by sharing feedback on projects being considered for funding. From street and sidewalk repairs to park and facility upgrades, CIP pays for projects that enhance public property and relies on public input to ensure community needs are met.

While the overall $2.2 billion FY26 budget officially took effect July 1, the Council will spend the next few weeks deliberating on community projects before funding allocations are finalized.

WHO: Salt Lake City constituents (including residents, property owners and more), the Salt Lake City Council and Salt Lake City administrative staff.

WHAT: A hybrid public hearing hosted by the Salt Lake City Council to gather constituent feedback on FY26 CIP projects.

WHERE: Salt Lake City & County Building (451 South State Street) or online through Zoom. Constituents can share their input anytime by calling 801-535-7654, emailing Council.Comments@slc.gov or visiting tinyurl.com/CommentSLC

WHEN: Tuesday, July 8 at 7 p.m.
