Description:

The Council is considering a proposal to rezone 10 parcels at approximately 754 S State Street. If approved, the property owner, Intermountain Health, states they intend to redevelop the property and build a hospital.  

The property was long home to the Sears building, which operated from 1947 to 2018, before being demolished. 

The Latest:  

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, Intermountain Health continued discussing its rezone request with the Council. The Council was first briefed about the plan in July 2023 and at that time, the Council requested additional information about the site’s potential layout, street activation, and other features.
