The Utah Global Diplomacy welcomed a group of 9 International Visitors from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, and Equatorial Guinea. Ale met with the group to discuss policies addressing transparency and governance as well as budgeting and fiscal responsibility at the city level. Ale conducted this meeting in Spanish, which was greatly appreciated by the visitors and made them feel included and valued. Ale prioritizes building relationships and bridging gaps that prevent international individuals (who do not speak English) from participating in and learning about local government.
