Proposed Project Overview
Anne & Zach Taylor, property owners of 2553 S. Chadwick, are requesting approval for an alley vacation (to give up public ownership of) for the alley located to the south of them & 2554 S. Dearborn St. This public alley is approximately 12 feet wide by 262 feet long. It runs east to west from Chadwick Street to Dearborn Street.
This alley is a “paper alley,” meaning that it is an alleyway that appears on an official subdivision plan/map, but has never been constructed, opened, or developed as an actual, used thoroughfare. If approved, this section of the alley would be divided evenly among the six property owners abutting the portion of the alley vacated.
