Native American Heritage Month Recognitition

The Council joined Mayor Mendenhall to recognize November as Native American Heritage Month.
Briefings
The Council was briefed on the following items during the work session:
- Updates on projects funded by the Parks, Trails and Open Space Bond approved by voters in 2022, and the Administration’s request to release the second round of bond funding for continued investments in each Council district. (Watch)
- Community engagement results from the Phase One of the West-East Connections Study and next steps. (Watch)
- A preview of the Climate Forward SLC Plan, which will serve as Salt Lake City’s first official climate strategy. It is anticipated to be formally considered by the Council next year. (Watch)
- 2025 SLC Water Conservation Plan, which outlines 5-, 10- and 40-year goals. (Watch)
- The Public Art Program Maintenance and Conservation Report for Fiscal Year 2025-26. (Watch)
Next Meeting
The Council’s work session begins at 2 p.m. and ends at approximately 6:30 p.m. The formal meeting begins at 7 p.m. and ends upon the conclusion of items listed on the agenda.
