What Not to Flush

There are only three items that should be flushed: Pee, Poo, and Paper. Remember that only these three Ps are safe for your toilet. Other items, such as feminine hygiene products and baby wipes, can cause backups in sewer mains and laterals and damage Salt Lake’s sewer pumps. They can also result in expensive plumbing issues on your own property or problems at our wastewater treatment plant.

NEVER FLUSH THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

1. BABY OR PERSONAL WIPES
2. Q-TIPS, COTTON PADS OR OTHER COTTON PRODUCTS
