The applicant, Terry Lyman, is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for a bar establishment at 357 west 200 south. The space is currently occupied by Culinary Crafts and used as an event venue with off-site catering known as the Tasting Room. The bar establishment will retain the same ownership and name. A bar establishment is allowed as a Conditional Use in the D-3 Downtown Warehouse/Residential District.
The applicant is proposing to change the license of the existing establishment from a Catering and Events service to a Bar Establishment. The building’s exterior, parking and other aspects of the existing operation are not being modified through this request.

Next Steps
- Notice has also been sent to property owners and residents within 300 feet of the project to obtain public input and comments on the proposal. Notified parties are given a 45-day period to respond before a public hearing with the Planning Commission can be scheduled.
- During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission.
- The Planning Commission will then hold a public hearing for additional public comments and make the final decision on the matter.
