Proposed Project Overview

Walker Wood of Cole West, is requesting Design Review for the property at approximately 410 S 900 E. The proposal is for a 2.5 story concrete podium with five stories above it, totaling 6 or 7 stories above grade, depending on the location.  It has a total of 252 units, ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. It includes 170 parking spaces and a 6th floor amenity deck. The site is 1.943 acres. The Design Review is requested for building length over 200’ and for a reduction in the required amount of glass.

Notice of this application has been sent to the Chair of the East Central Community Council. The property is within the boundaries of this organization, who may choose to schedule the matter at an upcoming meeting. Please contact the chair of the organization to determine whether a community council will review this petition and when and how that meeting will occur. Public Comment Period: July 17 – September 1, 2025

Notice has also been sent to property owners and residents within 300 feet of the project to obtain public input and comments on the proposal. Notified parties are given a 45-day period to respond before a public hearing with the Planning Commission can be scheduled.

During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission.

Public Hearings & Final Decisions

The Planning Commission will then hold a public hearing for additional public comments and make the final decision on the matter.
