Project Overview
Salt Lake Department of Public Utilities (SLCDPU) will be installing a lift station and sewer main pipeline on Genesee Avenue between 800 West and 700 West. A sewer bypass may be set up along 700 West, and parts of Genesee Avenue. This project will increase sewer capacity and improve operational flexibility in the area.
Construction Impacts
- Work will take place on Genesee Avenue during daytime hours, with increased noise. Traffic control and signage will be in place.
- Residents and businesses will be notified prior to any potential driveway impacts.

Timeline
Work is expected to begin September 21, 2026 and continue through spring of 2027.
