Board of Appeals & Examiners Vacancies

Building Services now has a Board of Appeals & Examiners. The Board resolves appeals pertaining to building construction, housing, and abatement codes that may contain errors regarding judgment and purpose made by an administrative official. COVID-19 & Building Services

Due to rapid protocol changes regarding COVID-19, the following may change at any time – We will be responding to all inquiries via email at slcpermits@slcgov.com or call 801.535.7968 between 8 am and 5 pm. The permitting office is currently open to the public, however we are not accepting paper applications or plans. Our permitting process is 100% electronic. We are in-office to help with permitting questions as well as guide those who need assistance through the online process. Please note, our offices will be closed for all federal and local holidays, as well as red air quality days. On red air quality days, our staff will still be available via email or phone and will still be conducting plan review and permit issuance.  To check the current air quality rating, visit the Utah Department of Air Quality’s website.
