From Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15, Salt Lake City and Catholic Community Services (CCS) are partnering to host a winter clothing drive for clients of CCS. Available times for drop-off donations are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at the Salt Lake City and County Building (451 S State Street, 2nd Floor).
The community is encouraged to donate gently used adult men’s and women’s size items, including jeans, snow pants, coats, vests, jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves, blankets, and sleeping bags. All items should be washed before donating. New socks and undergarments are also greatly needed.
“Thank you to Salt Lake City and the Mayor’s Office for working with us to gather much-needed winter clothes for people experiencing homelessness. Donating clothes will give them a second life to bless and keep others warm during this winter season,” said Randy Chappell, Basic Needs Director for Catholic Community Services of Utah.
