Salt Lake City is the cultural heart of the region, and the City is investing in community events that bring people together when shared spaces matter more than ever. Applications are open now through Nov. 1 for the 2026 Arts, Culture, and Entertainment (ACE) Grant, which will provide $300,000 in total funding to support diverse, community-led celebrations across the city.
Individual funding amounts range from $500 to $10,000 and can be used to support cultural programming, education, festivals, and neighborhood gatherings within city limits. 2026 will be the program’s 14th year of community investment.
“By the end of 2025, the ACE Grant will have supported 177 community celebrations. That’s almost an event every other day,” said Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall. “Each one is a chance to connect with stories, traditions, and joy across our city—and I hope to see that spirit shine even brighter in 2026.”
To qualify, events must take place within Salt Lake City limits and support the City’s vision and goals. The application deadline is November 1 at 11:59 p.m. Grant recipients will be announced in late December.
The City will host two information sessions in October for those interested in learning more about the ACE Grant and how to apply:
- October 8, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Day-Riverside Library (1575 W. 1000 North) - October 23, 6–7 p.m.
Main Library, Conference Room A (210 E. 400 South)
Community members with questions can contact the City’s ACE Grant Coordinator, Katie Schnell, at ACE@slc.gov. More details and the application are available at slc.gov/mayor/ace-fund.
