Salt Lake City has received a request from JZW Architects for Design Review approval to construct a multi-family project consisting of 146 units on several properties located at approximately 203-225 W Paxton Avenue. The development would provide 101 off-street parking stalls, accessed using Paxton Ave. The building is proposed to be approximately 76 feet in height. Existing structures will be removed and replaced with the new development.

Design Review approval is required for the following reasons:

Constructing a building that would be taller than 60 feet in height (21A.26.070.F).

There may be other zoning-related items that arise during the application review process.

Next Steps

  • The Planning Division is in the process of obtaining public comment on this project to help identify concerns and issues from the public. 
  • The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and will make a decision to approve or deny the Design Review.

During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable zoning standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission.
