Salt Lake City Planning Division has received a request from Evan Haslam with Dwell Design Studio to construct a four-story (45-foot-tall) mixed-use building with 295 apartments and 11,000 square feet of commercial space & residential amenities on the northeast corner of 1300 South and State Street. The development will be on 4.40 acres and will be four stories tall. The property is currently used as commercial space in the CC: Commercial Corridor Zoning district. This type of development requires special approval from the Planning Commission for a Design Review before a building permit can be issued. The applicant is requesting 15 feet above the 30 feet in height allowed in the CC Zone.
The public hearing with the Planning Commission has yet to be scheduled.

- Notice of this application has been sent to the Chair of the Ballpark, Liberty Wells, and Central City Community Council, where the property is located, who may choose to schedule the matter at an upcoming meeting. Please contact the chair(s) of these organizations to determine whether a community council will review this petition and when and how that meeting will occur. - During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission.
- The Planning Commission will then hold a public hearing for additional public comments and make the final decision on the matter
