The petitioners, Jason Malaska and Jon Galbraith of CW Urban, are seeking Design Review approval to redevelop the property located at 624-636 South 300 West with a 102-unit apartment building that has lobby/leasing space and parking on the first floor, an additional floor of above grade parking, and five floors of residential units. The applicant is requesting a Design Review by the Planning Commission to allow for height over 65 feet in the D-2 zoning district.  The proposed height is 85 feet.

Next Steps

This type of proposal is decided on by the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and make a decision on the proposal based on the approval criteria. The public hearing date has not yet been scheduled. Mailed notices for the hearing will be sent approximately two weeks in advance to property owners and residents within 300 feet of the development.

During and following this comment period, the Planning Division will evaluate the proposal against the applicable zoning standards, taking into consideration public comments as they relate to the standards, and develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission.
