Moana Uluave-Hafoka was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Moana is a Gates Millennium Scholar and graduated with University Honors from Brigham Young University in English and a minor in Sociology. In May 2014, she graduated with a Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She previously served as a Community Program Assistant at the Sorenson Unity Center, a Teaching Assistant with the Boston University Prison Education program, and as a paraprofessional at Edison Elementary School. Moana lives in Glendale with her husband, Maika and their baby, Linita.
